This is a call for cooperation!
I am an MA student at Bilgi University Department of Cultural Studies. One of the requirements of the course titled Representations of Urban Experiences is a visual project on urban space. I need your help for conducting the project I propose, namely a project on world cities. I want this project to be a project on the whole world. I need as much photographs as I can find: Ankara, İzmir, Kars, Xiamen, Oslo, Enschede, Berlin, Nepal, Gazze, California, El Paso, Moscow, Zagrep, London…No matter where you live or what you do, or who you re, you all live in a city. I need to see your experiences of a city.
But how?
If everybody who receives this call may send me 2 pictures, I will write a story on them. One of these pictures must be about the city you see from your window, just after you wake up. It is the first encounter with the city. There is no restriction for the second one. It may be a picture of anything or anybody taken at any time in the city. It may be just the same as those banal landscape photos, or about a little mundane detail, or an extraordinariness, fun , dining, death, development, underdevelopment, etc that nobody pays attention. Though I have a request. Please write your name (or nickname), age, where you live and the time you hava taken the photos. That’s all! I will appreciate your contribution as soon as I reach enough photos and finish my project.
We are in different places but we are all in a city!
